As summer has come to an end, it’s that time of the year again when we return back to school. With the first-day-of-school around the corner, it’s time to learn about our new teachers! Here is a short introduction for 7 of our new teachers.

Ms. Sherry Wen

Ms. Sherry is one of our new English teachers. She graduated from University of Texas at Austin and has had 14 years of experience of teaching. She will be teaching 6th, 10th, 11th grade literature classes and TOEFL classes for the after school programs. Moreover, she also has two of her kids joining PAS in 7th and 9th grade. Some of her hobbies are listening to music, singing KTV, and dancing. She also likes romantic movies including Titanic, Twilight, and Pretty Women.

She is originally from the United States where she lived in Brooklyn, New York. However, she was born in Haiti and only moved to the US at the age of 6. As a teacher, she believes building a relationship and understanding the backgrounds of her students is crucial to helping them learn. In fact, she tailors her courses for the entirety of her class to learn even more. Outside of school, she enjoys reading books, watching movies, and playing board games.
